A couple hours had passed, and they went through two different drinking games that resulted in them ordering more drinks and food up to Mitchell’s room. Tina stopped and examined Snow and Cameron together on the couch while they joked and laughed with one another.

“Cameron, what’s your intentions with my best friend?” she asked.

“Tina, are you serious?” Snow yelled.

Mitchell wrapped his arm around her shoulder trying to distract her from pursuing the conversation, but she wasn’t having it as she continued.

“I’m just saying, we all know he’s engaged to someone. I just want to make sure you’re not playing with her head.”

Snow spoke up. “I’m a big girl, Tina. We talked about this.”

“Friend, I just want to make sure. Cameron, answer the question,” Tina demanded.

Mitchell shook his head and poured another glass for himself as he sat back, taking a deep breath. Cameron gave Tina a stern look, because he wasn’t gon’ back down from her. He understood she was just looking out for her friend, but he didn’t owe her ass no explanation; however, he decided to be nice for the sake of Snow.

“I plan on being her man somewhere down the line, after I handle some business back home in L.A. Does that answer your question?” he responded.

Tina nodded. “Yeah, it does. Don’t hurt my friend, okay?”

Cameron lifted his glass in the air as he rubbed Snow’s thighs. “Understood. Cheers.”

“We need some ice, man. I done called them about it twice, and they brought everything but a full fuckin’ bucket!” Mitchell complained.

Snow stood up and stretched. “We can go. It’s an ice machine on the lower level. Come with me, Cameron.”

Mitchell gave him a concerned look. “Y’all sure? Cam, you good?”

He nodded and grabbed Snow’s hand. “Yeah, we’ll be back.”

They walked out the room, and he wrapped his arms around her neck. Snow held onto his waist while making their way to the elevator. After getting on, she pushed him against the wall and kissed him.

“Remember the first time we were on an elevator together?” she asked.

He licked his lips while staring down at her. “I do.”

The elevator doors opened to their requested floor level, and they came face to face with Mark and a woman who was not Kelly. Cameron’s mouth dropped as did Mark’s, and they got on while Snow pulled Cameron’s hand to exit.

She was clueless that these men knew each other. He looked back while still being pulled away by Snow and met Mark’s gaze again before the doors shut. He assumed Mark kept quiet because he, too, was with another woman.

They made it to the ice machine, and Cameron waited while Snow filled up the basket. He kept looking around to see if he would see Marva or Kelly anywhere in sight, but he didn’t.

“Come on, let’s get back to the room,” he demanded.

After making it back to the room, Cameron locked the door behind him. Snow took the ice bucket over to the table and sat next to Tina, engaging in conversation while they poured drinks.
